The Lace Method
Make the most of propagating plants

What is propagating ?
In a nutshell - using mature plants to grow more of them.
Some plants propagate beautiful in just water. No mud and mess needed. An easy way to add that much needed green to your house.
The legend goes, if you steal your trimming, the plant grows wild and well, at least, that has been my experience.
This can be done with a variety of plants but we are going to focus on Pathos or Money Plant.
Find a vine and cut it below where a leaf is growing - the node (refer to the image).
Don't worry about the mother plant, it will keep growing on the same vine.
Take a glass jar and fill it with enough water to keep the node submerged.
Keep topping up the water and change the water out once a week.
Watch as the the node grow little roots within 5 day and within 2 weeks, it would have roots that can be planted in soil - if you choose.
Over time, the green will cascade down and the best part is you can keep doing this and fill your house with green.
PS. My favourite, Monstera Plant grows beautifully in this manner.
